Yellow Cab Turns Red, White & Blue!
Louisville, Kentucky August 21st, 2008- Hosting the 2008 Ryder Cup is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the city of Louisville and the state of Kentucky. Yellow Cab of Louisville wants to show their support of the event, especially Team USA!
We’re transforming eight of our traditional Yellow Cabs into one-of-kind Stars & Stripes cabs. They will be hard to miss!
Mike Lemonds, President of Louisville Transportation Company says, “We want to show the world the unique spirit of our city and Yellow Cab.”
The Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau plays a major role in the organization and execution of several Ryder Cup events. Doris Sims, Vice President of Bureau Services says, "Yellow Cab was an active and engaged participant in the transportation portion of the Ryder Cup Hospitality Committee. They had great ideas and suggestions to assure that the taxi drivers are ready for the Ryder Cup and even took it to the next level by turning 8 Yellow Cabs red, white and blue...that's hospitality!" The Convention & Visitors Bureau will be providing the drivers with Ryder Cup shirts to complete the experience.
All 8 cabs will have unique identification numbers related to golf and/or Ryder Cup Trivia.
