Paramedics and EMT

Care Ambulance is seeking qualified individuals to join our team! We have immediate openings for Full-time and Part-time Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT).

Description:

• Operating an ambulance: excellent driving skills in an emergency and non-emergency mode transporting patients. Render patient care utilizing the Standard of Care approved by the Medical Director and the Kentucky/Indiana Board of EMS.
• Operation of ambulance and other company vehicles in compliance with local and state regulations.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull 150 “plus” pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, reach above shoulder level, kneel and occasionally climb on a regular and frequent basis.
• May be exposed to wet and humid conditions, fumes and/or airborne pathogens, infectious waste, toxic or caustic chemicals, needles, body fluids, radiation, chemotherapeutics.
• The EMT will be involved with checking the unit at the beginning of shift, re-stocking the unit with supplies as needed, cleaning the ambulance and equipment after each run and cleaning and re-stocking of the ambulance after shift.
• Equipment inspection to insure proper function.
• Assist the Paramedic with completion of paperwork and proper billing forms.
• Provide support for Paramedic’s rendering advanced life support type treatment.
• Setting up equipment and assisting in ALS procedures (i.e. heart monitor, IV’s, medications).
• Complete all paper work in a timely manor and be turned in before the end of shift.
• All EMS will be involved with and/or participate in housekeeping duties on a consistent basis.

Requirements

• Must love to work with people.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Your certifications (National & State Registry).
• Clean Criminal Background.
• Clean MVR.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
